Our Venue

An 18th century country pub on the main Badminton Road, ideally situated at the foot of the Cotswold escarpment, in close proximity to Bath, Bristol and main travel routes including the M4, M5 and A46, The Bell at Old Sodbury is the perfect place to meet friends and family. In the summer months, our four quirky B&B rooms are often full with ramblers and walkers on a rest-stop whilst exploring the world-famous Cotswold Way.

We’re a family-run Inn with decades of experience offering a welcoming atmosphere in our bar and restaurant areas, with a relaxed log burning fire in the winter and a delightful country pub garden in the summer months. Whether you’re stopping by for a drink, brunch, afternoon-tea, dinner or staying with us, we’ll be delighted to welcome you to The Bell.

Your Party

We love a party at The Bell and any occasion is an excuse! We cater for weddings, birthdays or any other special event and can tailor a sit-down or buffet menu to your requirements. Our bar is conveniently located in the middle of the pub and we can accomodate up to 80 guests for a standing event or up to 60 seated. Please email us or use the link below to make your enquiry (with as much detail of your event as possible) and a member of the management team will be in contact as soon as possible.

We rarely charge a room hire fee, but this is dependant on date/time required and minimum spend requirements

Celebration of Life & Wakes

The passing of a Loved One is always difficult and you will want to celebrate their life in your own way. The Bell offers the perfect location, with flexible spaces for up to 100 guests and delicious food options. We’re easy to find and offer ample parking for your guests.

We have a range buffet options, all with inclusive Tea &amp. Homemades Cakes, scones, Welcome or Toast Drinks can be added if you wish.

With a warm and caring atmosphere, our team will do all that they can so that you can relax in the knowledge that everything will be taken care of.
